Yeah, I saw that. I'd never heard of her before, but looking through the comments, I feel like I knew her. If you go to http://www.thetoo.com/viewtopic.php?f=0&t=28765&p=922686&hilit=strongnchrist#p922686 there's a song that's been posted. You'll have to scroll down a little, but it's a YouTube video, so you should be able to find it. It's by a "Christian" band called FM Static, and I think it captures the emotion really well. I don't think it's too rocky for your taste, but it does have a small drumbeat. It's mostly slow though. And it's really powerful. Alert: It's not overtly Christian, but it does mention Jesus. It's not really a good example of Christian music, but it's not inappropriate.
